The Library is well lit by large windows on the North side of the building.This is an ideal positioning for the library since it does not receive harsh lighting. If it were on the South, East, or West side, glare would be a problem, making reading difficult.

Good recognition of sun lighting effects.
This is gorgeous and I can see why you would like to keep as much of the library as possible. And you are right on the money about the daylighting.
