This is a picture of a patch of mushroom, which is my inspiration for this project. You may note that the mushrooms are turned upwards, this is so they can collect rain. For my structure I plan on including a structure as versatile as a patch of mushrooms.

This is a really interesting and unique concept I've yet to come across before. I really like how you're taking into consideration organic forms naturally found in the elements of nature as a basis of your inspiration. What exactly will be the underlying "purpose" for this structure in your design? Will it be more for collecting rain as these mushrooms do, or more for shading purposes?

My structure is inspired by a mushroom patch because of it's ability to adapt to it's conditions. This adaptability is reflected in my structures rotating roofs which specifically accommodate sunlight.
