Chrisk's Redesign of The Masters School's Athletic Facilities

05/04/14
The northern gym at high noon is fully lit by the sunlight. During the year when day light savings time is effect, the gym will be lit for at least another 2-4 hours. The suspended running track overlooks the court, and retractable bleachers would be installed on both sides of the gymnasium. Visible on the upper left hand corner of the lower level is the window to the hallway described in slide 4.

You did a terrific job in showing visual and verbal representation of your work throughout the design process. The use of pictures, diagrams, plans and renderings were great in executing your ideas for the design of your athletic facility. You showed great skill in photography, modeling/rendering and drawing. If you are serious in architecture, I would recommend that you do more sketching. Sketching can be a great tool to get ideas down on paper quickly and to help you understand your design more clearly and help you realize that you need to edit certain things. I would also say similar things about making a physical model of your design. Your design was well executed and you had a clear idea while meeting the needs of your athletic facility.

Thanks for your input. I have in fact created a bunch of sketches, but I have actually forgotten to upload the sketch dump on my last slide on Brainstorm! However, I do appreciate your suggestions and will do my best do develop my skills in them. I have made physical models before; I love nothing but the smell of glue in the morning!
