Shading structures are extremely important in Nevada as the sun is unforgiving. Both teachers and students agree shading structures need to be added along the jogging path. Also i would like to create a shaded amphitheater to encourage students to go outside more, rather than stay inside all day. When driving through the desert to California, I spotted an old broken down down sign (as sketched in the top right) and thought to myself that would be an interesting shading structure for a building, and nothing more tells the story of the desert than an old rusted sign.
