Redesign Your School Athletic Pavilion | 2014 National High School Architecture Competition #158

The top view is the the basketball court facing east. I added the window at the top to allow for natural lighting. The bottom one is the gym looking southeast. As you can see, there is plenty of seats to accommodate the entire school staff. Both sets of bleachers are identical, which only adds to my point about there being enough seats for the entire school population. On the interior, I tried to keep it as simple as possible referring to the colors. I did not want to have the wall paint be too overpowering that the second you step in is the second you step out.

I like the bleachers very much. The lights and ceiling would need to be rather sturdy in case (or actually when) they are hit by basketballs. You would probably want that clerestory window to face north or explore options to shade the windows from the outside to eliminate glare.
