Parts of the Gym in need of improvement: Boy’s and Girl’s Locker rooms – Currently, the locker rooms are too small to be functional for the present number of students. There are also a shortage of lockers, so students are required to share with one-two others. Weight Room – The weight room, number one, has an awkward layout that makes it difficult to get any real exercise done. In addition, there isn’t enough space to allow the larger classes to use the room. Interior and Exterior Design – The interior of the gym is only lighted by overhead lights that have to run nearly nonstop. There is no natural light into the gym or basically anywhere in the building that houses the gym. Many also compare the exterior of A-Tech, to the neighboring Veterans Tribute Career & Technical Academy, noting how A-Tech looks straight out of the 1990s.
