Playing area is a lot more open, there is a large scoreboard, and ball can't fly into the track. Since people can watch from the bleachers now rather than standing off to the side, games can now be played at home court more. The games won't be interrupted by the activity on the overhang since there are movable walls. Also, students are safer from crashing into walls because they now have padding where reasonable and possible.
