This is my first idea for a new food serving system. The arrows in this sketch represent the traffic flow of students. I moved the snack bar and the sandwich station next to the hot lunches, so that everything is next to each other. In this system, there are four lines, depending on what you would like to get. I made the line system simple and easy to follow, so that this area does not get too crowded and students do not get frustrated. I also moved the cashiers right next to where the food is served; after the students get their food, they pay for it right away, and they can grab the utesils and napkins they need on the way out. There are also dividers between each line, so that there is no confusion.
