EXAMPLES OF POCKET PARKS - On the left is an example of an actual park compared to the pocket park on the right. The actual park provides extended recreation such as a variety of playground materials, a water recreation area, restrooms, a large grass field, and a trail leading up to the mountains. However, for a pocket park, one can only incorporate a maximum of two of those elements. On the other side, an example of two pocket parks adjacent to each other near my home. The parks provide a sitting area with some recreation such as a barbecue grill and chess/checkers board. It has benches and grass to provide greenery to the area.

Did you know that you can Request a new bike rack in your area? Cities all over the U.S. have multiple types of bike racks they can install and all you have to do is submit a request.
