Because the area I chose lies in an area with many elements, variables and storylines that can affect the design of my park, I have chosen to begin by pouring them all down on paper and analyzing what I find. The area begins with a long railroad that splits the land. This splitting of the land makes it necessary to have the bridge. Pockets of space also exist near the entrances/exits of the bridge. Therefore, this site stands as an intersection of a bridge and a railroad. Both bridges and railroads exist for the purpose of getting from point A to point B and represent progress and advancement, but they also a human journey; the importance of the experience of getting from point A to point B.
