Affinity Park
05/11/15
While there's a wide array of plants good at conserving water, many of these plants would be unsuitable for my park. Being that there's a large young population, having plants that could injure them would not be a good idea. Many desert plants have thorns or other defensive maneuvers to retain water, and it would be a disaster if a child were to stumble upon such a plant. One example could be this plant, the Oleander. While it looks harmless on the outside, and it really is harmless on the outside, it still poses quite a threat to young children and incompetent people. The plant is poisonous, but only through digestion. Were a child to consume such a plant, they would surely have to be hospitalized.

Did you know that you can Request a new bike rack in your area? Cities all over the U.S. have multiple types of bike racks they can install and all you have to do is submit a request.
