Pictured is my first draft of a site plan for the park. Rather than having defined pathways, I opted to seperate spaces according to use, and in areas where direction to spaces were needed, I used stepping stones. Notice, the design is composed mostly of patios and seating rather than grass areas, as Las Vegas is a desert. However, where there is a lack of grass, the abundance of plants and garden areas makes up for it. From my research, specifically Springs Perserve, desert gardens in vibrant colors is a very realistic possibility. The gardens are meant to build a sense of community in the park, as a garden requires team work to keep it functioning.
