This is a over head view of my park. Because I know you are able to look at the picture and see the different locations of things, I will instead talk about why I decided those things were important and why I located them there. The stage is an important part because it gives the pack the ability to be something else. An outside source could come there and have a park concert or maybe a local theater would like to perform there. It gives the park options on what it could be used for. The sloped hill was put into place so kids wont have major soccer or football matches there. If they wish to just kick the ball around, that would be fine. The slope eliminates the ability to play a big game. The massive shade structure with the tables underneth were put into place because of two reason. If people want somewhere to sit after walking so long and just need some place to go, this would be a good location. Second, there is a high school located two blocks North from this location. Because it is a magnet high school, a lot of the kids don't live near each other and the only time they can hang out with each other is at school. Because of this, the park can be used as a place to hang out for this poor high school student.

I enjoy the design, but I feel that the shade provided at the seating area isn't ideal for hot summer days. In addition to this, I feel like the stage occupies space that could be used for recreational activities, but that's not a huge detail given the space already provided for such. Overall though I like the layout of the park, and everything looks good with the decor and environment you've created.

I think having a slope to prevent sports matches defeats the purpose of the park, since they are commonly used for this throughout the country. You also don't mention any ADA compliant ramps on the slope for people that may be disabled, as well as pathways leading towards the stage for wheelchairs.

I think the use of slopes is a good solution for signaling the kinds of activities you're hoping to encourage in different parts of the park - it also helps diversify what people are seeing and experiencing - elevation is a great strategy for what you're trying to accomplish.
