FINAL DESIGN OF POCKET PARK - This is the final design of the pocket park.

This is a good design overall, but I think you should add a few more components like tables.

I think you have your idea planned out, but you didn't really add too much of it. The tall trees give a feeling of closure around the park, so that's really nice that you included that. Also it's probably not as thought out but having seating areas is important for many reasons, so the fact that you included it is great. It would've been nice to see more components and more to your park, but you have great ideas like the circle landscapes you included in the entrances, good job :)

Your park is very simple. I feel that you could have added more shading structures in your park to add more interesting components. The inside of your park is very open but it is also enclosed making it more confined. It becomes on open area enclosed by walls. You should add more openings other then the gate as an entrance.

Yes, I definitely agree I should add more elements and components to my park and perhaps more walkways to access different areas of the park. Thank you for your comments and suggestions.

When designing spaces like yours, keeping it simple is often times is the best approach. Municipalities are not looking at elaborate designs or exorbitant costs when looking to transform small areas eligible to become pocket parks. Your design embodies and does a great job of this! Just remember to keep in mind the space you have to work with. What do you suppose will happen to the rest of the open lot and curved lot line of the residential neighborhood? Could you have extended your design to incorporate this area? Can the park transcend the property lines and become more of the neighborhood it's adjacent to?
