The pocket park seems to provide sense of safety and relaxation. It would be beneficial in considering closing the shade structure. In Las Vegas, the temperature can exceed over 110 degrees in the summer. It would be wise to to have a shade structure that completely shades the underlying area. Otherwise, the park is very aesthetically pleasing.

You are undoubtedly correct. I think moving forward, to improve this project, I would need to create a revision for the canopy structure. I'm thinking I should but different design permutations that could serve as a shade and design to the area. When I ran lighting tests, I found that my design only covered roughly 60-80% of the area that it should.
