The family I chose to design a container house for is supposed to represent the average family in America (although that is changing). The parents are approximately 38 years old (give or take a few months) and have been married since the were both about 24. The children of this couple are 12 and 9 years old, one is a boy and one is a girl. The family has a labrador retriever that is around one year old.
