2012 national competition project #031 | cafeteria redesign

This is the kitchen and food serving area of my new cafeteria. I have labeled the area for utensils, as well as where the cash registers are placed. Also in the food serving area are heated display cases, where the students will get their food. In the kitchen and food preparation area I have placed four sinks (two on each side), two dishwashers (one on each side), a fryer, a grill, an oven, a broiler, a double refrigerator, a double freezer, and many cabinets. For the snack bar area, there is another refrigerator with glass doors to display for the students in line and a small closed top freezer for ice cream. Also, there is extra counter space in the sandwich serving area for the staff to prepare the students' sandwiches. I made sure that there is plenty of room for the kitchen staff to move around and that everything is easily accessible.
