Great progress.

Tell me about how these various parts come together within your unique site, with the region's special environmental conditions: weather, foliage, traffic. How do the floors fit together. Is there a different envelope that encloses all of these different elements.

While it mey be tempting to focus your efforts on rendered models, it is okay to study your project with quick sketches. Don't be embarrassed about the quality - it is more important to test your ideas and find your preferred solutions. Other quick study methods could be physical models, bubble diagrams, and even more photos of inspiration spaces.

Tracee Brooks, EIS--We are developing a three story sports facility, and within that we will have a football field, track, baseball field, softball field, and community garden. While in San Francisco on Tuesday, we toured multiple roof gardens in which we received our inspiration for a community accessible garden. Because the garden is the only facility without roofing, we are considering installing a modern-styled roof to protect from extreme weather conditions, such as the heavy rain in the winter and the blazing sun in the summer. Thank you, again, for taking your time to give us insightful and useful advice! We greatly appreciate it.

Remember the terminology we heard in SF about outdoor spaces. Is this what you are trying to display? Who will use this space? Seems rather small for the size of the stadium

The idea of having a rooftop garden seems very intriguing, especially with it placed on the Sport's Pavilion. But based off the image you have up you have a spiral staircase to get up; will the staircase be wide enough for X-amount of students? How many students can fit inside, and will it effect who is allowed up there?

Tracee Brooks, EIS-- We have actually altered the sketch]up design in our scale model; we now have an elevator going from the floor of the stadium, to the roof garden as we realized the 150 foot staircase might scare some people away.

I really like the way your team put in a rooftop garden. It makes a good break space or break area for individuals or players who want fresh air after exercise or game. I have one concern though. Will the surrounding area have protection or boundaries to prevent unfortunate accidents? I think it would be good to put a safety boundary in case something happens, just for safety precautions. Otherwise, your model looks aesthetically pleasing and very calming to look at.

Tracee Brooks, EIS-- Thanks!! And yes, we have just recently decided to make the football field with the rooftop garden also have a domed roof to, as you said, prevent any unfortunate accidents as well as to protect the visitors of the garden from extreme weather conditions.

How do u plan to keep the people from falling off the roof? Because there is no rail. Also how are you planning on getting people up there there are no stairs to walk up? Anna Merkushev-Dynamic Designs.

Tracee Brooks, EIS-- As mentioned in the comments above, we will be adding a domed roof to this particular building. We will also be adding an elevator to the front of the building.
