This photo depicts the Mira Loma library as it can be seen from the outside. The library is located only on the first floor. As it can be seen the windows contain light filters or shades, limiting the sun light that goes into the library.
I want to commend you on your well written summary. You have obviously listened to the users - both faculty and students, and your photos serve to support your argument that the existing library does not function properly or to take full advantage of its existing space and location within the school. It is a wonderful challenge and it should afford creative possibilities that can solve each of these challenges that you have listed.
Well done for providing links to libraries that will provide some inspiration. This is a very diverse list, and each had its own unique challenges different from the others and from Mira Loma, yet at the heart they are all attempting to provide a place to store and exchange knowledge to a group of people. There are many functional aspects of this challenge, but there are also aspirational ones that may make the space more meaningful and effective.
