This image is a more detailed sketch of the layout of the first floor of. Having a closer look, you can see Where the bookshelves will be placed and how the new tables and chairs will be arranged. Although some things in this sketch are different from the previous sketch, many of the things that we have placed in our library will be the same. Another way we have included the community in our building is through the children's book room. We will have a section of books just for kids and they will be able to enjoy a nice book while sitting comfortably in the seating area in the room.

Thank you! We really are trying to create a space that will have a general positive consensus across the board (students and staff at Mira Loma to the community).
I'm sort of confused on how the elevator will work. How will people be able to get to it with all of the stuff around it?
So our elevator will be big enough to fit about 4 or 5 people at a time. It looks small from perspective, but it will really be the size of an actual elevator. There will be a door located around the opposite side of the main entrance into the library. There will be chairs situated around the back of the elevator (since there will be a 360 degree aquarium that is around the actual elevator) so students and visitors can sit to read or simply just admire the fish!
i think that itd be a good idea to have the librarians office or desk area to be either in the center of the room or the center of one of the walls.it would allow them to keep their eyes on the room and students better
Do you think that long tables would be comfortable?
