Yes we realize that our walls are very tall, but we still have the final design where we can make those adjustments. Regarding the separate floors, it was just easier to show what we have on each level, but of course they are all the same building. Thank you for your commnets.

please note my comment note on the previous slide regarding the height of these spaces - too tall! - not realistic. i like the way the building is stepping back with the porch - its really getting interesting and nice fro a user standpoint too - multiple outdoor options takes advantage of your favorable climate! seems to be some wasted space to the left of mezzanine here - can you tell me what that space is? is this for performance?

its great to understand the space in 3d - its a promising form for sure. i really think you need to think about scale though - the height of this first floor space looks to be 25-30' tall if I'm reading the entry doors correctly - that is OPPRESSIVELY tall especially in the smaller service spaces to the left and right! I mentioned this to another student too - i think it would be helpful to start assembling this model as if it is one building - I'm not sure why each floor is being modeled separately.

Well this is not a water container on the bottom, its going to be glass that can be see through and water running on it to the plants, if water wont be collected during summer then we will use just regular water.

Great illustration. The use of the flower as public art is terrific. Maybe you could consider making the water container for this a bit smaller. The bigger it is, the harder it will be to keep clean. What will you do in summer months when it doesn't rain in Sacramento?

This picture is not exactly what we had in mind but what we liked about it, is that students can sit together on comfortable seats. They can see each other and talk to each other. We are planing to fit 6 or 8 people at that kind of seating because the cushined seats will be round not from both sides. The seats we have in Mira Loma are not comfortable at all.

Thank you very much for this suggestion! I think that we need to modify that idea of sculpture and have something that can collect all the water that hits the roof! we will keep you updated.

This is a new footprint. Our modern cafeteria is rectangle shape. For ours, we made it bigger than the original. It doesn't match the fixture count of the current restrooms and we think that many stalls are necessary because in our current bathroom there are only 3 stalls. Also looking at the ratio of students we need at least 1 restroom for 30-45 people. It will be multiple food type. We are having a circle counter in the middle and underneath we will have storage for the food during break and lunch. Students will have multiple lines where they will go through to get lunch. They will get through lines faster because they wont be punching in ID# but instead slide cards, that saves a lot of time and it is very efficient!

I love the idea of he garden on the roof it gives more open space for people to read and hang out. Maybe you could have fruit tree's like apple trees and orange trees. Would the grass be artificial??
