We are going to have some benches on the roof, so that student can sit and enjoy the garden. In our garden we are going to have flowers and plants.

tell me more about what you like about this furniture - it looks VERY standard to me - what makes it comfortable and nice to you?

very exciting - trying to imagine the water sculpture still (based on your photo example) - is this going to be kind of a free standing tower?

keep i mind that your example works because a whole roof is feeding rain water to the sculpture - if it is just a free standing sculptural piece on the roof it will only be gathering the water that hits the top of it - it won't work - maybe the roof drainage feeds the sculpture and it needs to run down the facade - maybe even down the face that includes the main entry...

the space has potential to be very dynamic, but also very LOUD - i like the idea of 2 story space and balconies and exterior porches and roof gardens a lot - it would be nice to pay the same attention to this level's deck that you are to the roof from a landscape design standpoint.

first off...i REALLY want to compliment your team on the 'Summary' portion of the Brainstorm section - there isn't a space to comment there. It is an EXTRAORDINARY amount of detail and really very ambitious. At the same time, i think it is mostly realistic and well-considered. If your ultimate design can match the energy and effort of your brainstorming I'll be very excited and proud.

now for this floor plan - can you clarify something for me - is this existing footprint of your cafeteria, you'll have to excuse me if that is made clear somewhere else. If this is a completely new footprint how did you arrive at this form/shape?

I like that in general you are really thinking openly about rethinking the layout - stage, open kitchen, food court, etc. the public restrooms look massive - does this match the fixture count of the current restrooms - are that many stalls really necessary? be very careful about the kind of odd shaped spaces that you are carving out for real functions - the staff bathrooms for example will be a a challenge - likewise with the janitor's closet - think about shelving, etc.

tell me more about the food court - will it be multiple food types with separate lines - seems like it that could be pretty chaotic especially if you plan to have seating on this level
