Summary

To collect information for the project, I first did some research on existing pocket parks. For example, New York City has many famous pocket parks tucked away in the bustling metropolis that provide a chance to take a quick break from the busy city life. Once I identified the factors that people look for in these small parks, I did some research on parks in my city and noted what would be more suited for the desert climate of the Las Vegas area. After deciding which site to use, I started gathering information on what type of park would best serve the surrounding community's needs.
