Hill Range Park: Recent activity

Great design concept with a variety of functions in the space.
Great collection of data and understanding of the demographics of the neighborhood and what options to provide to maximize the space for all users.
You are showing a lot of promise with the design software and I would love to see the the final model after more practice with the software, more time, better material selections, etc.
Loved the wide variety of ideas during initial design. Shows a well thought out plan and thinking outside the box for this particular site.

really thoughtful use of different elevations to encourage different kinds of activities; thoughtful use of a performance space - lots of intentionality about how and where it could be seen from different park perspectives

I think the use of slopes is a good solution for signaling the kinds of activities you're hoping to encourage in different parts of the park - it also helps diversify what people are seeing and experiencing - elevation is a great strategy for what you're trying to accomplish.

I am wondering what happened to the mural idea/s in some of the earlier brainstorming. Did you decide specifically not to include these for some reason?

The shading in your design is very unique in terms of design and creativity. The theme is also very specified and the hill plus the sign is very pleasant. The park is an overall success as to what you wanted to achieve. I hope you can bring this same level of professionalism next year.

I like how you kept your ideas from the brainstorming section of this project and continued to make it better. it is nice to see how a dawn out idea turns into a 3D model that can then be modified to fit any needs you may have in the later process.

I like the layout of the planters along the stairs and the variety of plants in you park also. I like the design but is the upper area handicap friendly? I see that there is a long pathway leading up to The upper area, but you should think to add an easier access to the shaded area. I do like your overall concept and design of this project.
