2013 national competition project | Library Redesign #255

05/13/13
This is a 3-D version from the entrance looking straight back of the library. As you cans see, there are desks set up so students can sit down and do work/read without constantly staring at a blank computer. In the far back, seperated by a short wall of books, is a row of computers. These computers are of free use to students in the library or could be used as extras by teachers.

Again, nice use of separating spaces, while keeping the overall plan open and light. Nice rendering of the digital model too!

I appreciated your use of low book cases to divide the space. I could imaging the librarians using the top of these shelves to display new books or other material that students could discover on their way to the computers. All your perspective views from your initial photographs from your information collection phase to the final design show the space as it is. In the final design you have been able to create a nice series of layered spaces and interesting views from each part of the library.
