The idea of dedicated lounge areas dispersed throughout the building is manifested in this initial to-scale floor plan. As translated from the sketch, these colored areas serve as “community nodes” which encourage teamwork and sense of solidarity in the athletic and performing arts context. With this design, coaches and art directors have an area to convene and give their morale boosting pep talk before a game or a performance.
