Chrisk's Redesign of The Masters School's Athletic Facilities

05/03/14
This color-coded diagram shows the first draft of the to-scale program. The rooms which house major athletic and performing arts activities, as well as the locker rooms, are highlighted and annotated. Athletic facilities are generally located on the lower level while arts facilities are located on the upper level. The gymnasium on the upper level can also serve as rehearsal area for large dance and music production. An interesting feature of the lower level is the diagonal lines created by the locker rooms; the fencing studio wraps around the locker rooms' diagonal lines, and allows for the bleachers to wrap around the game space. The smaller rooms are offices, individual practice rooms, as well as supporting facilities, such as bathrooms, closets, and storage areas.
