Although it couldn't find a spot in the collecting information section of the design process, flooding in Las Vegas is actually a major problem. The city wasn't designed to with stand massive rainstorms, which normally occur over the summer as monsoons. So, I thought of an idea of just having the water flow off of the site so that the entirety of the park wouldn't be rendered useless and too wet to visit. Basically, a good idea for my park would to have the center area on a raised elevation and the surround pallets of land to be at a lower elevation so that water could easily flow away. Another interesting thing that came to mind with this idea was to having an outter layer of rocks in which water could easily flow through the rock layer and provide for a healthier surrounding soil for the community.
