05/12/15
Definition of a park: a piece of public land in or near a city that is kept free of houses and other buildings and can be used for pleasure and exercise
A park's purpose should be providing a place to relax and a place to escape from a busy life. A park should be able to bring a piece of nature to a city and create a harmony of nature and civilization.
Central park is a great example of a functional park. The park harmonizes nature and buildings that are surrounding the park. People can escape from their busy city lives and experience nature within the city. Also, the surrounding architectures and the park create a beautiful scene.
