Out of my whole design process, I think the front sign area changed the least. Simply because it was so inviting and kid friendly and I want that to be a signature point and something to remember for not only just the general public but specifically for children. As a child there's is always that one place that sticks in your mind and as wacky as it is, I believe Pelican Park could truly be remember able from a small age.

Adaptive Reuse

Comments

The pelican provides a light air of humor to the park as a way to break through the solidarity of the design, it is a great contrast to the relatively stout and traditional walls that surround the park's perimeter.

This park has a very humorous and cute concept to it! The outline and pathways of the park is also excellent. There are an abundant amount of plants and trees, which is great in a place like Las Vegas. Overall, I would enjoy going to this park myself.
