Thanks for sharing your design. I appreciate your attention to the location of the site - it appears to be a great location for a pocket park focused on neighborhood kids. I would encourage you to do more research into the types of children's play spaces one can create. There are wonderful opportunities to use vegetation, sound, art, and topographic changes (hills, grade change) to bring interest and creativity to play space.

Is grass something that is desired by the local community?

The best view of the project. I would recommend locating the swingset more centrally, to make it easier for parents to watch over, and keep kids away from traffic. Maybe provide some seating near the swingset.

That seems like a good central location, but what is located there now?

Safety is one of the often overlooked aspects of a park. I think it is a great idea that there is active lighting all throughout the the park to provide the feeling of safety and security to the guests, a feature which even some of the most popular parks lack.

I like this view of the park, but one complaint is just the perception of the park being distorted, just fix it up or straighten it.

A question I have is, would the center of the park be used for any recreational activities, and if so, is that it's not specified?

I think it's quite interesting how you've even specified certain plants for use in a desert scene, great job.
