We really liked all the colors used in this room that inspired us to use colors like in the picture.

You some very interesting ideas team Furture Design is brainstorming. The concepts and ideas you have pictured are from very large projects. Will they translate into your design for a much smaller library?

yes, there are lots of boxes and books lying around the library. So we decided to make a room for storage where the librarian has access to it.

Looks like they need to use the empty cabinet for storage!

Great idea to use this space for an expansion. As previously noted, a plan diagram would help to understand the relationship of this outdoor plaza to e existing library, main school entry and the parking. This will lead to questions for you to consider: does the public use the same entry as students? What is the addition made of? Does it look like the existing building or is it different and clearly new?
The photo indicates a fantastic opportunity - will be great to see what you come up with.

Great start - definitely looks like the current library needs some design help. Reading your summary, I would have expected to see either voting poll results or perhaps quotes from existing users and librarians. It would be helpful to understand the expectations people will have for community space. What are there requirements for space, seating, storage, kitchen, toilets, etc... A library offers a wonderful opportunity for a school to open itself up to the community. It might be helpful for those of your viewers who are not familiar with your school to sketch a floor plan - could be as simple as a diagram noting functions and paths of movement through the spaces.
