This is a sun and wind diagram as well a site plan for the school. The sun is crucial to the new design of this library for many different reasons. With the sun rising in the front left of the school and setting in the back right hand side of the school is going to play a big role in setting the outdoor seating. I am planning on having a sunny and non- sunny section which will be based on the suns path and gives students and faculty the option. The placement of the pergola will also depend where the sun is going to be during the day so that it can be placed in the shade. The wind diagram is also a necessity. With the roof being raised a near 6 feet in the addition, it will have to be structurally built to withstand the wind coming off of the near mountains across the road.
