<SLIDE 5: Enviornmental Issues> One of the environmental concerns of the current lunch program is the unnecessary printing of receipts. Most students do not keep their receipts after their purchase; as a result, trashcans near the cafeteria are filled with paper receipts daily. This unnecessary printing of paper is not only an inefficient use of resources, but also a major concern for the campus image, as strong coastal winds often blow these light pieces of paper out of the trashcans to tumble around the campus.
