(The Illinois Track and Field Complex) As our schools track begins wearing down through the rough winter, I believe we should strive for a new material and an overall fresh design. The Illinois Track and Field Complex is not only one of the best in the area but one of the best in the nation. They use what is called “the sandwich system” and layer two types of material atop each other. The resulting track is nearly impermeable to rain and snow therefore extending its overall lifetime.
