Advanced Technologies Academy: Proposed New Athletic Pavilion

05/01/14
Gymnasium (Southeast Perspective) Revit Model - This image shows the beginning of modeling the pavilion in Revit Architecture. The pavilion began with modeling the eastern most portion of the space (the gym), including the exterior stained curtain wall systems on the north and south facades and geometric window inflections covering the entire western facade to enhance natural daylight. This basic model serves to highlight the simplistic yet unique exterior of the pavilion's features and lays the foundation for the remaining elements of the structure (classrooms, locker rooms, egress to the second level, etc.). This particular section of the pavilion stands as a one 30-foot story element while the remaining space will be divided into two stories (one measuring 25 feet for the lobby and storage spaces, the other 15 feet for classrooms and administration offices). The south curtain wall (shown as the "paneled" facade in the image above) faces directly towards A-TECH's current field, thus enhancing visual interests to any students and/or guests in any area of the current campus.

Interesting façade! I see elements of the De Stijl movement in it - great work!

Thanks so much! I actually took a lot of inspiration from Piet Mondrian's "Composition A," I've always been a huge fan of geometric based architecture. Thanks for noticing!

Nice juxtaposition between the two facades
