When I started my research on the Chicago lawn area I discovered that about 38.1% of the Chicago lawn community is married, and about 30.8% did not receive or finish high school. I also found out that the average income of the Chicago lawn area is 49,347$. and all crime rates from burglary, rape, and murders are above the national average. with this information that I received I came to the conclusion that the Chicago lawn area has a large sum of families living there. Because of the high crime rates in that area I realized that it wasn't the families who are causing it, its the gang and gang related violence in that area, with a pocket park, and workshops or volunteer work in the parks that can keep the young people involved and out of trouble. A park would not only beautify the neighborhood but it would also attract more people to want to start a family in that area and make the place a much safer place to be.
