This is an early developmental sketch of a perspective and section view that shows an addition being added on top of the existing lunchroom roof. The structure will overhang like a cantilever and will intersect the roof to merge the interior and exterior spaces together. Some of the concepts that influenced this process: diverting traffic flow, creation of more private seating areas, using a roof garden to improve food ingredients, framing of the historic mural, and adding more seating options - such as an outdoor eating area.
