The top left hand photo is a building in New York City that inspired our firm to use solar glass windows for the entire front wall of the cafeteria. The rest of the walls are going to be designed using copper with blue-green patina covering. Using copper walls and tubing; for heating and cooling, will reduce our carbon footprint and can be recycled continuously. This material is extremely long lasting and costs way less to maintain. The next image is an idea of how our cafeteria is going to have an underground tank that will be able to collect rainwater throughout the year to water the landscape surrounding the cafeteria and also the garden located on the roof. This process is money saving and eco-friendly by saving and reusing rainwater. The bottom left hand picture is an example of how the stained glass of the initials of Mira Loma will look that we plan to put across the front wall of the cafeteria. We are using stained glass to add an artistic look to the school while adding different shades of light to the inside of the cafeteria which will make students feel a sense of delight. The forth picture represents the fact that we will be using the low-flush toilets in the cafeteria to save our usage of water and to be more eco-friendly of the environment.
