Here are some pictures for our landscape and how we are going to layout our community garden. There are also some pictures of the plants we will be using inside and out of the cafeteria. There is also some benches on the upper right that are solar and we will implement them into our revision of the quad.

The community garden is a great idea. It really connects the food students are eating with where it comes from. Where will it go? Have you considered adding fruit trees in the garden? Sacramento is one of the few places you can grow subtropical and cooler weather fruit. Plus it would provide shade. I'm looking forward to seeing how the garden gets incorporated into the layout out the cafeteria.

I like the idea that you will have vegetables in the garden, but specify which plants will be inside and which plants will be planted outside. Also, where is the garden going to be located?

The garden would be great for the school, that way students can be more involved in activities to help the garden be better and it would be wonderful to get some of the fruits and veggies into our food without having to pay a lot for them, maybe we could get the salad bar back.

AM Arch:
Our roof top garden will be producing the main food that will be used in everyday food and also a weekly dinners to serve the less fortunate. I love the idea of fruit trees! My problem has been deciding where to put them and how to clean up after them sufficiently. Thank you for your comment.

Dynamic Designs:
The vegetable garden will be located on the roof in an enclosed greenroom and most of the flowers and other plants will be located outside with in the middle garden area.

That is our goal to get the students to be more involved as well as the community and allowing them to actually eat what is grown.
