This is a very spacious lobby, but since this is the lobby of a sports pavilion structure, maybe you should add more of a sports theme to it. (input basketball rims, hd tv's, wallpaper) - Ryan, Director of Interior Design

There is a lot of room in this lobby. In contrast the stair to the next level looks more like a roof hatch than a stair case. Also how high are the steps for the stair? The maximum rise of a step should be no more than 7" and the minimum run of the step no less than 10". For student projects 6 & 12 (rise to run) is the easiest way to keep track of units, even if it's not the most efficient. Also, there should be a landing every 12 vertical feet.

There's a small structure on the right, gray with 2 doors. The doors look like they almost touch the roof of that structure. For these spaces try to save at least 8" between ceilings and the next floor for electrical/mechanical equipment. If the span is greater than 15', add some additional vertical space for structural beams or trusses. You can probably use the 2nd level of the gray walled space for something, is there a stair or anyway other way to access the additional floor space?

While it sounds nice to have an open space on the roof what about disabled or people that have trouble climbing stairs? You need to put in an elevator for those who cannot manage the stairs otherwise you should scrap the idea of the open space on the roof.

The room looks very spacious, which will be great for big crowds.

Tracee Brooks, EIS-- I love the idea of open space on the roof. I think it is very creative to have an entrance to this open space from the lobby. Great work guys!

Your lobby looks VERY spacious. I think it would be nice if you implemented windows to give it more of an open look, it would also give you more natural lighting.
