It would be great to see some views from inside the space (eye level). Right now, you're showing us a lot of views from above. That's great for getting a general sense of the plans, but eye level is much more descriptive since it mimics actually being in the space. In Sketchup, if you place the camera directly on the floor, it should automatically place the viewing level at around 5'-6". A field of view of around 60-70 degrees (field of view settings in Sketchup) would be ideal once you get your camera set up.

Very detailed Sketchup model. It would be helpful to add some people (2 or 3 is fine) to give us a sense of scale.

I love the idea of having both elevator and stairs, which you should though for emergencies. There will be alot more tables right?? And alot of the furniture in this room could be made of recycled stuff or eco friendly products.

Muses of Design,

I'm impressed with the way that you implemented the ideas of school and district personnel regarding access by community members and with keeping after-hours security in mind.

Good luck with continuing your design!

This is looking more and more interesting as you progress through the step. You can tell you've put a lot of thought into your work!

Looks like your architect is on board! Wahoooo! Maybe remove the existing "problem tree", recycle the wood into something useful, and planting something that is more friendly to your design?

I'm so glad you got this picture. It truly is a strange area that isn't user friendly. Hopefully your architect has some suggestions to help you move towards the design you're aiming for. I'm sorry you haven't been getting feedback--hopefully you'll get more than what you've gotten in this step.

These are awfully hard to see--but I like that you're including your rough sketches along with the computer ones. You have great written ideas--let's see how you do on bringing them to life.

Royal Touch,
Thank you for the compliment! Having the extra space was one of our main problems that we wanted to fix in our design, so we are glad to see that we have accomplish just that!

Global Inspirations,
We decided to have the two separate entrances because it reduces the risk of vandalism inside the school campus -- the community would have to walk around the campus to get to the entrance and we felt that from that, the risk of the school being vandalized would increase greatly. However, as for the student entrance, our plan was to create a border (if you will) around the door that was a matador dangling a cape and then students could walk through. The community entrance would be closed off during school hours so students do not have an excuse to walk to the front of the school and leave the campus.
