Hazlenut Meadows
Summary
Overall, after trying to find the perfect location, some site analysis, and problem solving, I finally completed my pocket-park. The park takes into consideration who will be using it, as well as the environmental factors that may cause a person's experience at the park to be negative. The different levels allow for the sepeartion of different facilities such as the children's play area from that of the picnic, pond, and tranquil area. The park fulfills the needs of the community, all while significantly improving the atmosphere. It also doesn't hurt that its aesthetically pleasing.
Now the final step in this project is nameing the park. Hazelnut Meadows seems fitting because of the many Hazelnut Trees that I chose to surround the park.

Adaptive Reuse
Architects often find creative ways to reuse old structures that are no longer in use. Check out how old rail lines were adapted to create New York's High Line and Chicago's 606.
