Exterior Building Material Collage - This image shows the various materials that will be used on the exterior facades of the new pavilion. The glass and stained aluminum paneling (shown as the largest of the 7 boxes) will cover most of the surrounding walls while the tinted chrome, scratched nickel, and embossed steel panels will provide further ascetic value to the design via their reflective nature. Not only do these materials promote school pride by incorporating the school's colors, they simultaneously qualify the pavilion for several LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) certifications including the Materials & Resource Credit and the Indoor Environmental Quality Credit, both of which aid in increasing natural daylight and ventilation into the space (see "Gymnasium South Elevation" conceptual sketch under the "Brainstorm" tab).
