Advanced Technologies Academy: Proposed New Athletic Pavilion

Pavilion Inspiration Boards - These images show two of the various underlying inspirations behind the conceptual design of the pavilion. The Seattle Central Library (left) uses elaborate series of straight, utilitarian lines as well as stained glass geometric curtain systems to enhance the overall aesthetic value of the design. Similarly, Barcelona's inventively sustainable Flower Market (right) uses contrasting metal panels of chrome and stained aluminum - again to provide visual interest. By incorporating the artistic features of abstract art found in both these designs, A-TECH's new athletic center will bring together unique combinations of contemporary aesthetics into a visual masterpiece that allows students and guests the opportunity to let go of any "recognizable image," an architectural element that many commercial structures lack today.
