Bridging the Gap: Redesigning High Tech High School's Athletic Pavilion

04/27/14
This is the floor plan for the first floor of my structure, based on my bubble diagram, with calculated measurements and accurate dimensions. I've labeled some areas to help better express their purpose: (1) The "Elevated Entry Path" is a good solution to the flood spot problem. In the same way that a deck elevates people from mulch or soil below, the path will elevate people about one foot above the ground, curbing the influence of the flood spots. (2) This is a spiral staircase that leads to the second floor. The curve in the wall will actually be finished as a glass curtain wall, providing a feature wall for people inside to enjoy. (3) This room provides storage. The room itself is divided into 11 separate closets to help better organize supplies. (E) Elevator to the second floor

*NOTE* Please disregard the 400 ft and 200 ft labels on the top and side; they were guide marks for my sketching. The topmost side of the structure is 375 ft long.

Good evolution of the diagram without being too stiff.
