Pocket Park
05/20/15
Boldly standing on the corner of 6th and Garces, the park's sign reads, "Square Stone Park". The name comes from two prominent elements in the park: the rocky, desert landscaping; and the square shaped green space in the center. As the park's location is still in a desert, it was important to ensure that the park wasn't too water dependant. A lot of the landscaping ended up being more rocky in nature with some trees to help provide shade and cool in the desert. While the center of the park was originally going to be treated with the same landscaping, it ended up being large enough to serve as a decent greenspace for more useful purposes.

What should I upload in the Final Design step?
- final hand or digital renderings
- images of your finished physical model
- or your finished digital model
You can even include links to a YouTube or Vimeo of a digital walk-through like this one: https://youtu.be/ncaVQ2V6XXU
Adaptive Reuse
Architects often find creative ways to reuse old structures that are no longer in use. Check out how old rail lines were adapted to create New York's High Line and Chicago's 606.
