<SLIDE 3: Savannah's Organic Garden> Savannah's Organic Garden is a student- and faculty-run community project at Sage Hill geared towards promoting organic produce and farmers in the community. Just in front of the science portables, there is an organic garden on campus that students have been cultivating for two years. I interviewed Ms. Fieberg, a Biology teacher at Sage Hill School who is in charge of the program, about the possibility of the program's future cooperation with the cafeteria, as well as ideas for a more eco-friendly cafeteria design. (A.)-(C.) Current photos of the garden. (D.) A satellite image of the campus. Savannah's Garden is marked with a red circle, and the location of the current cafeteria is marked with a yellow circle. (E.) Some photos of the produce that are currently growing in the beds. (F.) A sketch by Ms. Fieberg of the future plans for Savannah's Garden. In the next few years, aquaponic systems and and a 3-bin compost system are to be in place. (G.) A shot of the currently undeveloped portion of the garden. Twelve different orchard tress are to be planted here, There is also a plan to install a chicken coop, as well as a classroom.
