Dover-Root Park: 2015 Pocket Park Design Centered on Community Values and a Greener Future

04/28/15
Featured in New York Magazine, the Garden at the Church of St. Luke in the Fields was a great source to pull from regarding use of nature to serve as a calming force for community members and congregation. They have set up walkways that branch into quaint gardens with benches and tables so that anyone can come in and relax amongst nature. In a world where we are increasingly losing the ability to sit, surrounded by our natural environments, incorporating some sort of encompassing garden would be a breath of fresh air. On top of the natural beauty it adds to the park, this feature can be used and appreciated by virtually any age group. There are also perimeter paths that offer scenic jogging or biking routes.
