In reading about Barretto Point Park in the Bronx, I discovered that this particular park incorporates a natural stage and natural staggered seating to get the community involved in various performances in warmer months. They also made sure to capitalize on the water backdrop looking out into to harbor and incorporated a perimeter trail for a picturesque run or jog. The designers of this park intended it to stand for quite some time and thus used natural materials that would not only be environmentally friendly, but were durable (stone).
